Thanks for visiting our web site. I would like to extend an invitation for you to join both USSVI and the Tarheel Base. Even if you have not qualified in submarines, you can become an associated member. A list of our upcoming activities are listed on this web site and you are welcome to join us. Currently, the Tarheel Base is working on a project to have a U.S.Navy specialty license plate for North Carolina. This would be a Submarine Veteran, N.C. State License Plate. The cost of this specialty license plate would be a $10.00 annual special fee in addition to the regular license plate fee. In order to make this special plate a reality, we need to have a minimum of 300 names interested in obtaining this license plate. These 300 names are a requirement for the state of North Carolina to issue them.
